Unlocking the Potential of Environmental Stewardship: Internship Journey with AFoCO

Internships have long been considered an important stepping stone for students pursuing a master's degree because they bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. As a student at the Graduate School for International Agriculture Technology majoring in International Agricultural Development and Cooperation, my internship with the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) was a great asset to me. It is a great opportunity to gain hands-on work experience while contributing to AFoCO's vision and mission.

My internship at AFoCO was an invaluable experience that complemented my academic pursuits. It has sharpened my understanding of the complexity of environmental challenges and the importance of international cooperation in addressing them. AFoCO provided me with the perfect platform to pursue a meaningful activity while pursuing my academic goals.

The journey of my internship at AFoCO has been an enlightening and transformative experience. It allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in real-life scenarios and develop a comprehensive understanding of how to implement REDD projects not only in the Philippines but also in other countries. The program has made me a competent professional in the forestry sector, and I hope that it will enable me to play an important role in promoting sustainable forest management practices, biodiversity conservation, and climate change mitigation in the Philippines. I am confident that the lessons learned and experiences gained during this internship will continue to guide my actions and strengthen my commitment to a greener and more sustainable world.
